The theme of this year's Women in Science Breakfast is "The Road Less Traveled: Science Careers Off of the Beaten Path". The keynote speaker will be Dr. Lydia Villa-Komaroff who will deliver an address entitled "From the Inside Looking In". Immediately following the address, Dr. Carolyn Cho, Head, Systems Biology Technologies, Pfizer, will introduce the panel discussion which will focus on the various usual and unusual career paths women can take to reach a successful and fulfilling career in science or technology. The expanding scope of science and its applications has created a much broader set of career opportunities for young scientists. From academia to private industry, non-profits to government, panelists will cover the range of possibilities in today's employment marketplace.

Audience participation is encouraged.
