Coaching Program Details

There are several ways that you can work with a professional coach through the AWIS coaching program:

Individual coaching

This one-on-one interaction focuses on where you are right now and what you are willing to do to get where you want to be. You choose the focus of each conversation while your coach listens, asks questions and shares observations designed to create clarity and focus and move you into action.

Individual Coaching - Introductory Session

$65 (non-member investment: $85)

This introductory session is a low-risk way to experience coaching firsthand and determine if a coach is a good fit for your needs. There is no obligation beyond this initial session, although many clients get so much value that they choose to work with their coach beyond the introductory session. You may take advantage of one introductory coaching session with each participating coach.

Individual Coaching – Monthly Agreement (2 sessions up to 45-minutes each)

$225 (non-member investment: $300)

After your introductory session, you may choose to continue to work with your coach for an additional period of time, agreed upon by you and your coach. Most clients work with their coach between 90 days and 6 months. Your investment includes two monthly coaching sessions up to 45-minutes, at a time mutually convenient for you and your coach.

Group Coaching

Group coaching via teleconference is convenient, affordable, and independent of the geographic location of the participants and the coach. You can call from anywhere, and return to your busy schedule immediately after the one-hour call. There are no travel expenses.

90-Day Career Transition Coaching Group (facilitated by Dr. Marlanda English)

$750 (non-member investment: $1,000)

The career transition coaching program helps individuals find the core/key/critical success actions for successful career transition, including:

• what you should do right away
• what you should never do (or stop doing)
• what you need to do quickly but aren’t prepared to do (and how to build the capacity to do these things).

The career transition coaching group is geared toward professionals engaged in, or soon to be engaged in, a job search or career transition. Career transition coaching moves clients to action faster and helps them take effective advantage of opportunities.

This coaching group includes:

• Bio/Resume/Portfolio development
• The online job search
• Industry and job focus knowledge
• Maximizing your current position
• Relationships and networking
• Personal strategies based on job level, job target, goals and objectives
• Jumpstarting your job search: creating a job search and career planning system
• Negotiation: offers, outplacement, compensation packages
• Transition issues
• Career planning and development
• Implementation strategies
• Accelerated program for the first six months on the job

The Career Transition coaching group will meet by phone every other week for three months.  

Leadership Coaching Group (facilitated by Judy Feld, MCC—Executive Coach)

$200 per month (non-member investment: $265 per month)

The leadership coaching group employs a workshop format in a semi-monthly 60-minute interactive telephone conference call. In general, leadership coaching groups are comprised of a cohesive group of people in a specific profession, company, industry or association. This new group is offered for female leaders in science, mathematics, engineering and technology. During a typical meeting you will receive insight, information, feedback, coaching, resources, tips, tools, techniques and valuable new ideas. Group coaching is interactive and dynamic, linking six to ten participants--in corporations, organizations, and/or associations who are geographically dispersed.

Participants in the group benefit from the experience, insights, coaching approach and facilitation of the coach, and also receive benefits for themselves and their organizations from other participants:

• Participants can rapidly share their individual/team best practices, for mutual benefit. As a result, great ideas are quickly integrated and distributed world-wide.
• Many years of combined wisdom from the participants accelerate the transfer of knowledge. As a result, each participant and her company reach their goals faster.

Specific topics to be addressed will be selected and prioritized by consensus of group participants.  The following serves as a sampling:
