Currently, we are seeking the following: Associate Research Fellow (R7) This role creates a plan for scientific partnerships in Asia in collaboration with global regulatory leader and WWCM site heads, and evolves the plan in accordance with changes with the TA strategies; leads Level III project within Focus Area; contributes to goal setting for Global Science and Technology group; oversees external collaborations for new in vivo technology platforms, animal models or training programs; partners with Global Science and Technology leadership in the development of key talent; and influences the external environment through thought leadership and active engagement with professional societies and academic institutions. The purpose of this role is to participate in the WWCM Asia Research Strategy, with focus on coordination of virtual study support, in vivo technologies, and laboratory animal care and welfare; leverage WWCM in vivo skills for maximizing animal care and welfare while contributing to the advancement of Research and Development partners’ portfolios; embrace the globalization, harmonization, and standardization philosophy and achieve increased efficiencies in WWCM’s development, application, and delivery of in vivo technologies and models; continually develop leadership and scientific excellence within WWCM through provision of mentorship and career development opportunities; and develop effective partnerships in pursuit of science outside of our walls with academic units in the form of training programs, outposts, and in vivo technologies such as imaging. A DVM, VMD, MD or equivalent and advanced training in hypothetical-based research, in vivo models, and technologies – board certification in laboratory animal medicine or other relevant discipline is required, as is knowledge of the drug discovery process and the practice of laboratory animal medicine in industry and a record of managerial and leadership ability.
