Currently, we are seeking the following:

Professional - Therapeutic Area Scientific Info Services

You will work in partnership to ensure availability of accurate internal and external scientific, marketing and operational information that enables TA creativity, innovation, lifecycle management, product placement, product support/defense and improved decision-making in the drug development process. The successful candidate creates new opportunities to enable changes in the drug development process and oversees that work through completion; has a cross-TA focus with interaction with all levels of TA colleagues; supports all TAs to deliver TA goals and objectives; develops a knowledge of core Informatics systems and processes and can guide TAs on appropriate technology and data requirements; keeps abreast of the Development and Medical Informatics Strategy and can articulate to TAs; proactively develops effective internal and external networks across the TA Continuum; refines and develops services to meet current and future needs; maintains awareness of current drug development advances; looks for areas to harmonize TAs globally and increase standardization; gathers requirements and feedback from TAs while managing customer expectations appropriately; and engages TA customers effectively and understands, evaluates and presents key findings and conclusions to relevant stakeholders

Additionally, the candidate understands the flow of data and information through a TA, key decision points and can identify opportunities to improve processes through technology or process reengineering; contributes to information strategies and understands emerging solutions; proactively gathers data and information needs and evaluates them within the context of internal and external strategy; facilitates tailored data provision; increases TA awareness and appropriate use of existing and new systems and technologies; and assists the business in the optimal management of internal/external information and enables effective collaboration

Candidates must have experience in a large multi-national company (although Healthcare industry knowledge is useful, someone with a good grasp of alternative industries could also be beneficial to the role) and experience in a data-focused or technical support role. A Bachelor's degree in a related area; healthcare industry knowledge; experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11l; and a good understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development process are desirable. The abilities to grasp & facilitate technical issues and demonstrate ownership of those issues until resolution; communicate appropriately with business personnel; harness expertise from groups; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all parties internal and external to Pfizer are required.
