The Department of Health Sciences at Lehman College invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank to begin Fall 2008 to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Dietetics, Foods, and Nutrition programs. The programs include an ADA-approved Didactic Program in Dietetics, a Dietetic Internship and a Masters of Science in Nutrition program. The Department also offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Health Education and Promotion, Health Services Administration, and Recreation Education and Therapy and a new Master of Public Health (MPH) Program and is developing a program in Exercise Science.

The successful candidate is expected to teach and advise students, engage in scholarly research and publication, seek outside funding, collaborate in developing a research agenda for the Programs and actively participate in Departmental and College committees and professional organizations.

Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Nutrition or Food Science and evidence of active research and publications.
