Assistant or Associate Professor in Health Sciences Lehman College Bronx, New York The Department of Health Sciences at Lehman College invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank to begin Fall 2008 to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Dietetics, Foods, and Nutrition programs. The programs include an ADA-approved Didactic Program in Dietetics, a Dietetic Internship and a Masters of Science in Nutrition program. The Department also offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Health Education and Promotion, Health Services Administration, and Recreation Education and Therapy and a new Master of Public Health (MPH) Program and is developing a program in Exercise Science. The successful candidate is expected to teach and advise students, engage in scholarly research and publication, seek outside funding, collaborate in developing a research agenda for the Programs and actively participate in Departmental and College committees and professional organizations. Lehman College, part of The City University of New York, the nation’s largest urban public university, is a coeducational liberal arts college offering bachelors and masters degrees through more than 90-degree programs in the liberal arts and professions. There are more than 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Lehman is one of only thirteen institutions nationally selected as an Institution of Excellence in the First College Year and the first within The City University to receive accreditation from the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.
