AWIS Webinar: Building and Leveraging Networks for Career Success
Presenter:
Marquita Qualls, Ph.D., Founder and Principal at Entropia Consulting
Who Should Attend
:  Women in STEM

Networking has become a near meaningless buzzword in many professional circles. Far too many STEM professionals, having a large number of connections (e.g. Linked In connections) equates to an effective network.

Connections are important, however, the utility of your network can be directly correlated to the quality of those connections.   The age old cliché of “it’s not what you know, but who you know” has evolved in the 21st century "it’s not only about who you know, but more importantly who knows you!"

This webinar will explore strategies for building, and more importantly, leveraging your networks by identifying which connections are essential for your professional growth.

Walk away from this webinar with a deeper understanding of:

  • How to create a network that works with you for your career success
  • Methods for tapping the resources and opportunities within your networks
  • Potential returns on investing in your professional networks
