15 Women Share Why They’re Walking in the March For Science

Apr 21, 2017 | Media Mention

Scientists and science lovers are taking to the streets April 22nd for the first-ever March for Science. The march is poised to be one of the largest pro-science demonstrations in history. The mission: To celebrate science and encourage the public—and politicians—to support scientific research and evidence. “New policies threaten to further restrict scientists’ ability to research and communicate their findings,” reads the official mission statement for the march. “We face a possible future where people not only ignore scientific evidence, but seek to eliminate it entirely. Staying silent is a luxury that we can no longer afford. We must stand together and support science.”
