Entrepreneur and Attorney Soody Tronson Joins AWIS Palo Alto Board
Soody Tronson, an advisory board member to STEM to Market: The Association for Women in Science Accelerator, expands her leadership with AWIS by becoming AWIS Palo Alto’s newest board member.
Soody has been contributing her expertise on intellectual property as an advisory board member to STEM to Market: The Association for Women in Science Accelerator. In this role, she has also shared her own career experiences, networks, and insights as a supportive mentor to entrepreneurs participating in the program.
Throughout her career, Soody has led the way in interdisciplinary innovation, combining her expertise in science, engineering, law, technology, and business to carve out her own path as a serial entrepreneur. She heads a boutique intellectual property law firm, STLGip, where she counsels domestic and international clients in IP and technology transactions in a wide range of technologies, as well as, leading her start up, Presque, a health-tech startup with wearables that empower mothers to overcome barriers to breastfeeding. Based on Soody’s original design, Presque’s product line fundamentally changes and improves the health of women and infants, positively disrupting the status quo.
Soody holds a J.D., M.S. in industrial chemistry, and B.S. in chemistry, and is licensed to practice before the State of California and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is co-author of “Women Securing the Future with TIPPSS for IoT: Trust, Identity, Privacy, Protection, Safety, Security for the Internet of Things.” Springer. Soody is listed in the IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists 2019. To stay energized, she co-founded HighNoteCoffee Co., a third wave coffee roasting company in Silicon Valley.
